Regardless of how we feel, regardless of all of that, we got it handed to us.” For any Bears fan hoping for a positive spin on the date, Williams’ straightforward assessment left little room for interpretation.

Chicago offense gained lot less in the first half. Coming into halftime, the team boasted only four yards of offense with an average of 0.2 yards per play. On the contrary, the San Francisco 49ers had no trouble making big plays with the ball and jumped out to a 24–0 at halftime.
That improved in the second half but it was already a gone game. It saw Williams finish the day with 134 yards and two touchdowns, completing 17 of 23 passes without a pick. The rush averaged 3.2 yards per carry, with a 10-yard run being the longest of the day.
That was not at all an encouraging performance from the Bears, who dropped to an NFC North-worst 4-9 on the season with this, their seventh consecutive loss.

Williams and his team will try to break their streak next week with a rivalry tilt against the Minnesota Vikings on Monday Night Football. For Caleb Williams, this contest wasn’t just a major blowout; it was a test of his leadership. While individual stats for him were, at best, mediocre, his post-game comments echoed the frustration of the entire team.
