Andre Iguodala recently shared his views regarding the 2015 NBA Finals MVP Award on Kai Cenat’s live stream.
Stephen Curry and Andre Iguodala
The 2015 NBA Finals between the Golden State Warriors and the Cleveland Cavaliers was a spectacle. Many believed Stephen Curry deserved to have won the 2015 Finals MVP award instead of Andre Iguodala. Curry remained the only Warriors player who scored at least 20 points per game as they overcame the Cavaliers in six games.
Regarding this, the retired Warriors star opened up on Curry missing out on the 2015 NBA Finals award. Notably, Iggy was named the 2015 NBA Finals MVP for his sensational defense against LeBron James and his Cavs side. Recently, Iggy attended the popular US streamer Kai Cenat‘s livestream and spoke about the Finals MVP honors.
Curry averaged 26.0 points, 6.3 assists, and 5.2 rebounds per game, while Iguodala averaged 16.3 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 4.0 assists per game. However, there is no denying that Iguodala’s influence extends well beyond his averages per game. Nevertheless the statistical difference between Iggy and Curry was substantial. It was so big a factor that Iggy himself thought that Curry deserved the award.
The Golden State dynasty won the NBA title four times from 2014-2022. Though Curry didn’t win the Finals MVP in 2014, he finally won the award in 2022. He has 4 NBA titles to his name along with multiple NBA MVP awards. The legendary three-pointer shooter still remains in his prime, looking to win his fifth NBA title.
